The sad fact in everybody’s mind though is the fact that the owner of Elvis Presley’s estate plans to make it into some kind of Disney Park. Robert Sillerman purchased an 85 percent stake in the estate, which he paid $100 million for, Lisa Marie Presley; Elvis’s daughter owns the other 15 percent of Elvis Presley Enterprises.
Sillerman plans to spend $250 million on renovating Graceland, he will also replace Heartbreak Hotel which is nearby. He hopes that he can create a new visitor center and also an interactive museum, replaces the tired look of Graceland.
