Jose Offerman of Long Island Ducks suspended for fighting with Bridgeport Bluefish Pitcher

Following on from our story this morning about Jose Offerman Arrested on Assault Charge, we can now give you an update that Jose Offerman, from the baseball team Long Island Ducks, has now been suspended and charged with assault for fighting with John Nathans from Bridgeport Bluefish.

Fferman has been charged with two counts of second-degree assault, as catcher Nathans sustained concussion, as well as a broken finger.

Frank Boulton, the owner of the Ducks has said that whatever decision that the league’s chief executive, the team will abide by it. A decision will be made this Friday.
