Assumption Day: Celebrating The Virgin Mary’s assumption into heaven

Being the naive person that I am, I did not have a clue what Assumption Day was so I wanted to learn more.
So what is Assumption Day? Well Assumption Day is held on the 15th August every year, where Christians start celebrating The Virgin Mary’s assumption into heaven. It has only been 650 years when Western churches started to celebrate the day that Mary mother of Jesus was taken up to heaven body and soul, which is when her life ended on earth.
