Monty Stratton

Monty Stratton was without a doubt a man of great courage and heart.

A film was made about Monty Stratton called “The Stratton Story” and it was shown on TV last night.

What did you think about it?

Monty Stratton was inspired by his family, mainly his wife and his son, to continue his pitching career for the Chicago White Sox even though Monty Stratton has an artificial leg.

Unfortunately, Monty Stratton had to have his leg amputated by a doctor after an accident when hunting for rabbits.

But Monty Stratton shocked the baseball world when he returned to baseball again as a pitcher.

This film was about Monty Stratton and his inspiring life.

    I thought it was a good movie. saw it many times. Jimmie stewart, as always was great. I am a distant cousin, my dad a litle closer. So naturally i think he was great. My dad named me after him.
