Nokia BL-5C recall battery
Many batteries from Nokia which are used in a range of Nokia handsets have had a recall, from the latest 1100 to the Nokia E60 is at a major risk of over heating during charging. Out of over 300 million batteries which are BL-5C batteries that are manufactured by Matsushita Battery Industrial Co for Nokia last year seems that there are 46 million which belong to the bad batch.

There have been well over 100 reports of incidents already, but please DO NOT worry none have exploding, caught on fire or burnt people but better to be safe than sorry Nokia have called for a recall. Nokia have stated that if your phone has the BL-5C battery you really need to keep an eye on it whilst it is charging.

You can visit the Nokia website in where you can check your batteries serial number against a vast list of the bad ones, if it does in fact appear on the list Nokia have said they will provide you with a replacement free of charge.

Do you have one of these Nokia batteries?
