Kentucky KY Lottery Sets State Record; $744 Million in Ticket Revenue

The Official Kentucky Lottery announced Wednesday that it had reached a record sales in terms ticket revenue, that being the figure of $744 million in the ‘fiscal’ year, ending June 30.
Lottery President said that “75% of all tickets sold in Kentucky are sold at locations that also sell gas.” This makes sense, as noones going to go to a gas station purely to buy some lottery tickets. An interesting idea is that the gas prices are on the rise, so will this mean a cut in the amount of sales of lottery tickets in Kentucky? I doubt it.
Why? Because it was the eighth time in the past nine years that total Kentucky Lottery ticket sales have increased over the year before. Pretty impressive, if you ask me.
