The broadcaster known as many names, mainly Craig Carton, has been unpredictably hired as co-host of the morning show at WFAN in New York. WFAN has been searching for a new morning show co-host since it fired the racially charged Don Imus, revealed today that Carton and former NFL quarterback will begin hosting the morning show the day after Labor Day.

“Returning to my sports roots is something I’m very much looking forward, and it’s an honor and a privilege to be joining WFAN working alongside someone of Boomer’s stature,” Carton said in a news release issued by WFAN.

I’m glad to hear Craig Carton has been chosen to do this and was pretty ashamed of Don Imus after the remarks he made against a women’s basketball team. Let’s hope Craig Carton enjoys his stay at WFAN and makes the most of it.
