Sony PS3 & Microsoft Xbox 360 (Elite) Poll: Please help me decide?

Now this is a real poll and not an attempt to cause a war between two platforms I promise you that, I really do have a dilemma. I recently bought an Xbox 360 and am really happy with the game play and graphics, I must say playing online is bloody awesome. Everything about the 360 is great and would not change it, but and a big BUT “It is so noisy and even more so with an intercooler attached”.
Now here is my thing, my cousin had the Xbox 360 and he swore by it until it broke down (oops), so he decided to take it back and in the end he got a full refund. Now his question is does he buy the Xbox 360 Elite or does he by the Sony Playstation 3; well he opted for the PS3 and now he is trying to convert me.
I have recently played the PS3 and must admit am impressed with the graphics, downsides are the Blu-ray seems a little jumpy to me and there are not as many titles as the 360, but I am still confused. Will my cousin convert me, will you convert me.

I have a new quieter 360 and am loving it. True it was my 4th replacement but I finally think they got it right. The PS3 just isn’t doing it for me. The online store is really quite bare for Sony to be a huge media company (and yes they are new at the online store, but Sony isn’t new @ online). I got motorstorm with my purchase, but it isn’t amazing like Sony wanted us to believe. I played resistance and the AI just didn’t seem too smart to me. Xbox has the best online and yes PS3 has the built in blu ray, but not a reason to buy the ps3 right now. I think the 360 has the best upcoming games and is the best choice right now. The controller feel weak on the ps3 and whenever I go back to the 360 I realize just how much I love the rumble feature. 360 is going to have an awesome holiday season I would tell you to wait about 6 more months to see if the PS3 will truly become the powerhouse they proclaimed they would be before the release. Who knows it may even be cheaper. I got a great deal on mine and decided to go ahead and get after E3, but with Lair (a game I was looking forward to playing) getting the horrid early on review, I’m thinking I jumped the gun. The only other game they have coming that I know of holidya season is heavenly sword. I played the demo and wasn’t impressed, but demo don’t always make the best example of a game…
I really don’t get how Xbox Live is any better than PSN. What extras does it give you that the PSN doesn’t have or won’t have in the future? Both offer demos, trailers, downloads, arcade games (PS1 games as well for PSN), and are both able to provide excellent and reliable online gaming. People need to stop bashing Home and saying that it isn’t gonna do anything for online. It’s just offering an online with a bigger community and interactive experience. I don’t see how Xbox Live is worth paying for yearly subscriptions. They are forcing you to pay for online. Sony leaves the online payments to the internet companies. Oh yeah, the PS3 has only been out for LESS THAN A YEAR by the way, while the 360 has been out two. I’ve got nothing against the 360, I just prefer the PS3. Your decision and you really can’t go wrong with either, just a matter of preference.
xbox360 is the daddy! I have them both and from a gaming stand point the 360 wins hands down (games wise) I do have a small amount of faith in my ps3 but up to now the games are crap, the graphics are shocking and they aint even in the same ball park as the 360! I just hope sony pull the finger out and show us the power of the ps3 soon, as I am getting a bit pissed of with my ps3!
2008 is PS3’s year. No one can say otherwise. 360 will have GEARS though at the end of ‘08.
By the time the 360 has the built in HD-DVD Drive the format wars will be over. BLU-RAY FTW.
if i were you i would buy the ps3 because it is the best console on the planet plus Microsoft isn’t the best way to go Sony is ps3 all the way
