Sony PS3 & Microsoft Xbox 360 (Elite) Poll: Please help me decide?

Now this is a real poll and not an attempt to cause a war between two platforms I promise you that, I really do have a dilemma. I recently bought an Xbox 360 and am really happy with the game play and graphics, I must say playing online is bloody awesome. Everything about the 360 is great and would not change it, but and a big BUT “It is so noisy and even more so with an intercooler attached”.
Now here is my thing, my cousin had the Xbox 360 and he swore by it until it broke down (oops), so he decided to take it back and in the end he got a full refund. Now his question is does he buy the Xbox 360 Elite or does he by the Sony Playstation 3; well he opted for the PS3 and now he is trying to convert me.
I have recently played the PS3 and must admit am impressed with the graphics, downsides are the Blu-ray seems a little jumpy to me and there are not as many titles as the 360, but I am still confused. Will my cousin convert me, will you convert me.
Please answer my Sony PS3 & Microsoft Xbox 360 Poll: Please help me decide?
Questions –

Also the Bioshock demo is sooo Beautiful. Also Splinter Cell will be a 360 Exclusive because a complex AI like the one in the 360 IS NOT POSSIBLE ON THE PS3.

Dude why are you pay for Live if you don’t use it. You can still buy games and stuff from the Marketplace with a silver account. I guess that report about people not knowing the functions of their machines is correct.
Paul that comment about Madden is so true. The 360 versoin bloooooooooooooooooows the PS3 version out of the compitition. How is the Cell Better. Everything is done better on the 360. I’m still not a believer Sony. I’m not being bias in any way as I was hopping the PS3 would give me just something good to say.
Charles dude I paid for it before I realized it was crap, my bad I did not renew don’t worry.

Clearly you don’t know a thing about computer design with a statement like “The 65nm Falcon chip runs faster than the current chip, so older Xboxes will run newer games slower”.
The CPU is fundamentally identical, just SMALLER. That means less energy to run the same CPU design, and less energy means less heat. Since the falcon chips are now available (look for the HDMI stickers) the reliability issues can once and for all be put to bed.
Fact is we are yet to see a technically superior game on the PS3. When that happens people might be able to justify the extra $$. But when you’ve got games like Madden 08 that run 50% slower on the PS3 compared to the Xbox I can’t see that happening. I suspect the PS3’s archaic GPU is causing a flow on effect for programmers because they are forced to turn the Cell into another GPU, something it is extremely difficult to do and very inefficient.
THERE IS A REASON NO ONE IS BUYING THE PS3:
1. It’s too expensive.
2. No decent games until Mid 2008.
3. No technically superior games to date, and this includes the games coming out in 08.
4. Blu-Ray is great - but any film enthusiast worth his salt would never buy a game console as a player.
5. No rumble. Sure you’ve got an extremely tacked on motion sensor… and what games use this in any meaningful way?
6. Online function is a joke - and so is Home: I don’t what to walk around a bland virtual world. I want to play games with my friends.
If you’re a tool, pick up an elite. Otherwise PS3 is the safe bet.
