Billy Murray To Take Over Mike Reid’s ITV Role

Former EastEnders star Billy Murray who is best known for his role as villain Johnny Allen is expected to take over from late actor Mike Reid in an ITV drama pilot.

Mike was best known for his role as Frank Butcher in Eastenders and had started filming for Filthy Rich before he suffered a fatal heart attack last month.

Mike was due to play a police officer who finds himself suspected of murdering his daughter’s delinquent boyfriend.

Mike had only filmed 30 minutes of the episode, and was due to complete work on it in September.

Know one will be able to replace Mike Reid but I could not think of anyone else that would be able to play that role in the ITV drama apart from Billy Murray, what do you think?
