Ellen Pompeo apparent reference to media coverage of Paris Hilton

Ellen Pompeo apparently said that Hollywood socialites “who are rich and famous for nothing” set a bad example and this seems to be in direct reference to Paris Hilton.
Speaking to the new issue of Los Angeles Confidential magazine, Ellen Pompeo made her thoughts clear about the way the media shape the younger generation that follow celebs.
She said “We’re teaching young girls that this is what they should be focusing on”

It’s nice to see a celebrity speak out about the media in this way, but sadly it does not matter if her opinion is right or wrong as if the news sells it will keep being covered as that’s what the public keep wanting.
