Oh my, the guys at Marvel Studios have been busy these past few weeks. Not only do they have their mammoth movies Iron Man and The Hulk coming out next summer and confirming Matthew Vaughn as director of Thor, they’ve announced a new title for Lexi Alexander’s the Punisher 2, which begins filming soon in Montreal.
The title for the movie is - The Punisher: Welcome Back Frank.
If you are a Punisher fan (and you’re likely to be if you’re reading this) then you will recognise that name as the title of Garth Ennis’ first arc on The Punisher comic book, which revitalised the character a few years ago and lent many story elements to the Jonathan Hensleigh/Thomas Jane original.
There were many other untapped elements in Welcome Back Frank, including a police hunt for The Punisher, and the forming of an organisation of crackpot vigilantes who took their cue from Frank Castle’s antics, that could be used in the second Punisher movie.
The only plot outline for the movie at the moment is that the film will be set in New York and will see Castle, his skill T-shirt and an array of powerful firearms go up against a mobster (possibly Jigsaw). After Thomas Jane bowed out, it will be down to British actor Ray Stevenson to fill the title role.

Yeah I got a title and it should not be The Punisher: Welcome Back Frank, now going on the first movie i have carried out some research and would like to put forward a new name which the directors should call it.
The Punisher: Please do not punish me
The Punisher: We have been punished
The Punisher: The film is shite you cannot punish us anymore
The film is shite and should be taken off the shelf so to speak
