There have been many sightings of the prototypes of the BMW’s 1-series cabriolet, here are a couple of cool spy shots showing us what we can look forward to ahead of next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show. We now know by looking at these images that the BMW 1-series cabriolet will have a traditional fabric roof, the rear end of the new vehicle has been altered in order to accommodate the folding mechanism of the roof.
As with the coupe the powerplants in the cabrio will be the same, so you will get the choice of a 177hp 2.0L turbo diesel, or if you want a bit more power, then the 306hp twin-turbocharged 3.0L straight-six will be the engine of choice for you.
BMW 1-series cabriolet will hit dealers in North America, but there will only be a choice of the 125ci and 135ci.
