NBC is getting ready to launch a major assault against YouTube.
The new video website by NBC, apparently to be called, Didja.com will be celebrating “advertising as entertainment and includes “a free online archive of current and classic television commercials, movie trailers and other brand-related content”.
The name of the new NBC video website, Didja is apparently short for “Did you see that”.
Didja.com is probably going to be launched at the beginning of 2008.
Basically, this new video website is all about the advertising and NBC gets paid for it!
One of the best things about website like YouTube was that you didn’t have to watch adverts every 10 minutes when watching videos.
With Didja.com I bet we will see more ads, left right and center and much less video.
What do you think Didja.com will be like?
Can Didja.com compete with YouTube?
