Spock Launches Public Beta Version of People Search Engine

Spock is a search engine with a difference. It does not bring up results of webpages or website, but people.

Spock is a people search engine and they have now launched a public beta version of the search engine Spock.

Compared with other people search engines, such as WikiYou, Spock is slightly different. Spock uses algorithms to find and merge the majority of content into one profile for each person.

With Spock you can also search their people database for a tag such as “blogger” and it will generate results that best match that tag.

However, there are concerns that it will need a huge amount of page views to become a profitable operation as people search don’t pay as much as business related search do.

What do you think of Spock?

Will Spock become a success?
