Space shuttle Endeavour blasts into space with teacher Barbara Morgan and her six crewmates
Just minutes ago the Space shuttle Endeavour blasted off into space carting teacher Barbara Morgan and her other six astronaut crewmates. It has been a 22 year wait for Barbara to lift-off into space; Endeavour has had to wait five years as the shuttle had to undergo an overhaul.

Barbara Morgan, was in fact Christa McAuliffe’s backup for the ill fated Challenger flight back in 1986, which saw all 7 crew members die, but even after 21 years Morgan did not give up her quest to go into space.
