PS3 second price drop in time for top titles GTA IV & Metal Gear Solid 4

Ok so what is all this about? Well Michael Pachter the cool analyst has once again gave us all an insight to the Playstation 3 price drops. PS3 will have yet another price drop but please DO NOT get too excited because this will NOT happen this year (very unlikely). Ok so the Playstation 3 is at a higher cost than previous top consoles they will constrain new console growth by roughly 10 percent compared to the last cycle.

The PS3 price drop will in fact happen next year hopefully in time for top PS3 titles such as GTA IV & Metal Gear Solid 4 which will be great, Patcher has also said that it is likely that the PS2 will have a price drop as well before the holiday season in order to generate more sales of the Energizer of videogame consoles.

The price cut of the PS3 is likely to be around $99 and this will help maintain a steady sales growth.

    Who the hell is this Pachter and why do journalists give a crap about what he thinks all of a sudden? Does everyone think he is the next Nostradamus or something? I’m not saying his predictions aren’t probable but why do websites take his word as gospel?

    Like when he blamed the GTA4 delay on complex PS3 hardware (which is a pretty likely reason) most low end gaming sites handled it as headline news even though it was just speculation that completely ignored other possible reasons behind the delay!

    God knows any idiot who owns a computer can do Patcher’s job!!!

    …Ok I’ve calmed down.

    But yes… a price drop around then would be just right for me coz I have no interest in getting a PS3 until next year anyway.
