News has come to light that those big wigs at Opel are planning to launch a new version of their large sedan, the Omega. This new car will be based on GM’s new RWD Zeta platform. This new car will be developed jointly by Holden, a GM subsidiary, the Australian design center also work on the Camaro and Impala.
The new Opel Omega will be RWD, it is also thought that the engines of choice will be the 3.6L 265hp HFV6, or GM’s other engine the 6.0L V8 engine with 365hp. Confusion still surrounds this car, as Carl-Peter Forster, the boss of Opel had said that they will not produce a new model that will be positioned above the new Vectra. However according to Germany’s AutoZeitung, they reckon that the company has already given this project the green light.
