In the official brochure for Porsche’s new 997 GT2, it states on there that the GT2 could actually speed round the Nurburgring’s Nordschleife race track in just 7:32, this is just a claim by the German car maker and has not actually been tested.
To give you an idea just how good this claimed time is, both the Carrera GT and Pagani Zonda F supercar lap this famous circuit in the same time. But if the new Porsche 997 GT2 could do it in 7 minutes and 32 seconds, then it would beat the likes of the AWD Lamborghini Gallardo, and the Ferrari F430.
The famous Nordschleife is a 22.8km racing circuit, and it is the benchmark for car makers across the globe to test both the performance and handling of their cars.
What is your best time around the Nordschleife circuit, and what car were you driving?
