Honda Acura to get low-emission diesel engines by 2010
We already know that Honda announced that they are to introduce a new 2.2L four cylinder clean diesel engine to the US market, and it will likely go into the 2009 Accord. However word has now come out that there is to be a smooth V6 diesel and the most likely car for the engine to be mounted into would be the 2010 Honda Acura.

Takeo Fukui, the CEO of Honda had said in an interview, that if the four-cylinder diesel proved popular in their Honda Accord, then we would like to use the V6 clean diesel for out Acura models. If that was the case then the new V6 Honda Acura Diesel would go head to head with German rivals such as the BMW 5-Series and also the Mercedes E-Class, both this vehicles use the V6 diesel engine.
