Yes that’s right. Who could’ve guessed that Steve Jobs was going to announce the new Apple iMacs? Everyone, actually. Having got our hopes up, we were expecting the best of the best and that really is what we got. The new iMacs, available in three different versions are ridiculously, mouth wateringly thin, as is the keyboard.
The aluminium and glass finish looks fantastic and Apple really do know how to make a product look good, even if it doesn’t perform so well. Having said this, the specs that the new iMacs have are also impressive making me want to get one more than ever!
With up to a 2.8GHz Core 2 Extreme processor, ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro graphics, up to 1TB (THATS RIGHT) of storage, 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.0, with 8x SuperDrives and 1GB of RAM standard across the board. Prices start at $1,199 for the 20-inch, $1,499 for a processor and graphics upgrade, $1,799 for the 24-incher and $2,299 for Core 2 Extreme- now that’s hardcore.
Who on earth wouldn’t want the new iMacs? Let us know what you think of Apple’s latest product and anything that you feel it is missing or should have. Comment away!
