The New High School Musical

After the huge success of the Disney Channel’s movie, “High School Musical,” why wouldn’t producers want to make another?
Now kids across the country are preparing themselves for High School Musical 2, which is set to premiere on the 17th August I know my daughter will be watching it.
The first movie is the story of Troy, a jock played by superstar Zac Efron, and Gabriella, a brainiac played by Vanessa Anne Hudgens.
Since its debut the film has been seen by 170 million people worldwide, winning two Emmy awards along the way.
The soundtrack has sold more than 7 million copies in the United States and it was the No. 1 best-selling album of 2006.
It is in Guinness Book of World Records for having nine singles on the billboard top 100 chart. The DVD has sold close to 8 million copies.
The film has also launched the young cast to stardom because Vanessa has released a top-selling solo album, as did Ashley Tisdale and as we all know Zac has got a leading role in the big screen musical Hairspray.
High School Musical 2 will move the action from school halls to summer vacation.

My daughter loves High School Musical and I thought I had heard that there was going to be a live tour going on. Is this true? can you point me in the direction to get this info?
I love high school musical it inspires me it tells that nobody can tell you what you cant do or what you want to be and i cant wait to see high school musical too so i can learn those songs as well.
