Orvis Company Toy Recall
By: Daniel Chubb | August 4, 2007 | 1 CommentThe U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, along with The Orvis Company, recently announced a recall of toys due to choking hazard. There have been no reported injuries.
The Stuffed Plush Horse and Fairy Dolls were recalled. The recall applies to 220 Horses and 1300 Fairy Dolls.
The pom pom nose of the Fairy and the plastic button eyes of the Horse pose a choking hazard to young children because they easily detach.
Both toys were sold as an accessory with the purchase of animal sleeping bags. Please see photos above and below.
These items were sold through the Orvis Company mail order catalogue as well as their website from September 2006 through December 2006 for about $70.
Consumers should remove toys from children immediately and contact Orvis to obtain a refund or replacement. Consumers can keep the sleeping bags.
