Former American idol contestant, Jennifer Hudson has been hand picked by Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul, to play her in an upcoming film called Aretha: From These Roots.
Jennifer made it to the final six of American Idol in 2004 and from then on her career has gone from strength to strength.
Jennifer is obviously doing very well for herself these days?

well done j hud. but i wish she had more mainstream exposure.. we need a new leading lady on the scene. i aint tryna start nothin but enough of beyonce (though am a fan).. i wish j hud wasnt so freaking quiet - she should rip them deals more so we dont get her outta our heads..
