Verbatim Launch: Hitachi camcorders are to have Mini Blu-ray discs

If you like Hitachi Blu-ray camcorders then you are going to really like the fact that Verbatim are going to be shipping 8cm Mini Blu-ray Recordable & Rewritable BD-R/RE blank media in Japan this month, but all North Americans will have to wait a little longer which will be in October.

The Mini Blu-ray discs media will hold up to 7.5GB on just a single side of which recording times will be one hour for 1920x1080i resolution and up to two hours at 1440x1080i resolution.

The mini Blu-ray discs will have Verbatim’s standard hard coat finish for total protection which will prevent dust and scratching which means these will be very reliable indeed.
