Salma Hayek teams up with George Lopez for her upcoming movie

Salma Hayek has enlisted the help of George Lopez to co-write, produce and star in one of three of her projects she has in the works. One of the three movies is comedic fantasy “Bones Family”, which will be co-written and directed by Gabriel and Rodolfo Rivapalacio. The story centres on a father who tries to unite his dysfunctional family by taking them on a trip to Vegas.

Salma Hayek’s second project is a coming of age movie “Diego Ascending”, with Rodrigo Garcia attached to helm the film. Diego Ascending is a remake of Isralei feature Bonjour Monsieur Shlomi. The script will be written by Ligiah Villalobos and will be about a teen who is torn between developing his potential in math or taking care of a Latino family.

Her third project begins shooting early next year with Nicolas Lopez writing and directing the sci-fi comedy thriller, which will focus on a young woman who is sent to the past to prevent WWIII. Problems arise when she falls in love and puts the mission at risk.
