Sony have just announced that they will go ahead and off repairs on 416,000 DSC-T5 Cyber-shot digital camera that Sony have sold, the repairs will be on the casings, the reason for the repair is because the bottom plating can warp which may result in a sharp edge which will in the end scratch the users hands.

Sony have said that these repairs will affect around about 66,000 of the cameras sold in Japan and a further 350,000 which have been sold in and around the US, China and Europe. The company have suggested that all DSC-T5 Cyber-shot digital camera owners should check model and serial numbers, by doing this will see if your camera is an affected one.
