New safety feature on Nissan 2008 Skyline Coupe: Pop up Engine Hood
When car makers design their cars, they always seem to think about the safety of the people in the car. But the people over at Nissan have also been thinking about the safety of pedestrians as well. The new Nissan 2008 Skyline Coupe is to feature a pop up engine hood, which is hoped to reduce head impact injuries when a pedestrian is hit and goes over the hood.

This great new safety feature will be introduced on all Skyline Coupe models that come out his fall. This new pop up engine hood creates a protective buffer with the pedestrian, if the impact is a hard one sensors will then tell the pop-up control unit to trigger an explosive actuator, this will then pop the hood up.

Should all cars have the new pop-up engine hood?
