Lexus has to be one of the safest cars on our roads today, but their reputation could well face a downhill turn as the Japanese company faces a lawsuit. The class action lawsuit has come about over a law firm in Florida have alleged that the Lexus ES350 has been fitted with a faulty front airbag sensor.
The faulty sensor could cause the airbag from going off when an impact happens. The lawsuit explains that defective sensors on the Lexus ES350 are in fact weight sensors, these gauge the weight of the person who is sitting the front passenger seat, and these sensors have now been found to be faulty.
One representative from the law firm has claimed that he tested a few ES350 vehicles, and found that they all had the same fault, also customers of the Toyota owned Lexus ES350’s across the country found the same fault. Toyota knew about this problem and had been warned, but the company failed to correct them.
Owners now want Toyota to recall all these cars, and to fix the problem free of charge, they would also like compensation for any loss that the owners incur.
