Apple’s New OS ‘Leopard’ Gets UNIX Certification
By: Daniel Chubb | August 2, 2007 | Leave a Comment
Apple’s forthcoming Leopard operating system has recently been certified with UNIX. Apple joins only three other companies to be in the same position- Sun, IBM and HP – with certified UNIX operating systems.
This UNIX 03 certification entitles Apple to officially brand Leopard as a UNIX operating system, but more importantly the certification also makes software developers happy too, putting their minds at ease and allowing a much more straight-forward production process towards Leopard.
What do you think Apple’s Leopard will hold? A success? Or a mirrorred misery like it’s oponent, Windows Vista?
