Sony PS3 getting digital TV tuner
PlayStation 3’s head of marketing Warwick Light, over in New Zealand, has been quoted as saying that Sony wishes to bring a Digital TV Tuner to their PS3 by March 2008. This will then turn the Sony Playstation into a fully fledged DVR.

Warwick added “We’re also hoping next year – about the same time that Freeview launches its terrestrial broadcasting service (expected to be in March) – to release a digital tuner for the PS3, turning it into a programmable TV recorder.”

Let us hope that this quote is true, as the release of Digital TV could increase the capabilities of the PS3 massively. We will just wait and see if there is any truth in this rumor.
