Sony confirms it is illegal to sell a PS3 in Argentina
Sony has now confirmed that it is illegal to sell the PS3 in Argentina, as a result the Japanese electronics giant will not be sending any of their games consoles to the country. Sony has issued a warning to big dealers in Argentina that those who have imported some Playstation 3’s should abstain from importing anymore consoles.

The reason why it is illegal to sell the PS3 in the region is the fact that Sony has to certify it for compliance with the local RF spectrum regulations. The frequencies watchdog agency has said that the Japanese giant has not initiated the certification for the device’s Bluetooth capability, and until they have got that and approval, then it is not legal for Sony to sell their games console.
