Thats what Bob Novak Wants

When Bob Novak was asked about the 2008 US Presidential Elections, he dismissed the front-runners for the Presidency and said he would like to see Ron Paul win the US Presidential Elections next year.

Bob Novak was asked about the Republican presidential candidates but he didn’t have anything good to say about the current top-tier field of Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson, Mitt Romney and John McCain.

However although he said he thought he expects Fred Thompson to forward, he expressed a liking for Texas congressman Ron Paul. “He’s a very engaging person… I’d like to see him as president,” Novak said. “Can you imagine him at the United Nations?”

What do you think of Bob Novak’s comments on Ron Paul?

Who do you think will win the 2008 US Presidential Elections?

Do you want Ron Paul to win?

You know everything you write above is pretty accurate until the very last couple sentences.

Ron Paul desperately needed the GOP after we beat Laughlin. As a matter of fact the general election proved to be much harder to win against Lefty Morris, than the primary. The Austin and Houston Liberal press savagely attacked Ron Paul, which gave Lefty and in.

You want specifics? Here it goes.

    1. Tom DeLay did 3 huge fundraisers for Ron for the general: Lake Jackson, Victoria and Wharton.

    2. Gov. Bush put the word out to the skeptical Houston GOP Big Money donors through Karl Rove to “back Ron Paul.” Magically, within days Ron was flooded with contributions from mainline Republicans.

    3. Kay Baily Hutchison did a “Cessna swing” for Ron Paul in the District visiting 3 different cities.

    4. Cong. Henry Bonilla did about 3 or 4 events for Ron, including appearing at one of his BBQs.

    5. Dick Armey sent out a fundraising letter for Ron to his list.

Ron won 51% to 47.5% against Lefty. I dare say we would have never made it, if it were not for the outpouring of mainline GOP support.

Many Republicans, most certainly uppity Conservative Victoria Republicans (former Laughlin supporters), were extremely cynical about Ron Paul. If Bush had not put out the word to back Ron Paul, they would have never voted for him. And we would have lost to Lefty Morris probably with a hefty margin of loss.

Interesting link about Eric Dondero. I hope you don’t kiss your Mom with that dirty mouth.

Ron Paul has a good chance of winning.

Ron Paul is 1st on YouTube, Meetup, MySpace, Technorati, Alexa, Google, etc. The old media is just too slow to realize what is happening.

Ron Paul places 1st or 2nd in every straw poll, debate, and active participation survey.

Dr. Ron Paul has the most contributions from U.S. military personnel and veterans above all other candidates. So support the troops and vote Ron Paul!

Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton were doing about the same in the ‘Scientific Polls’ at this stage in their elections. ‘Scientific Polls’ at this stage only measure name recognition. Over the next six months Ron Paul will gain name recognition. Most people who learn about Ron Paul become major supporters.

70% of Americans want us out of Iraq and want change.

Ron Paul is only republican candidate against the war.

Ron Paul only needs about 30% vote from republicans sick of the war and abuse of powers to win in republican primaries.

Dr. Ron Paul is the man of integrity and courage that America needs at this time.

We are making history — Vote Ron Paul!

Ron Paul VOTED AGAINST THE IRAQ WAR. He has made innumerable speeches on the house floor and has written innumerable articles describing his position on these unconstitutional wars. He was pro-military? He was “totally red, white and blue, Pro-Troops, Pro-Military”? Good for him. It is my understanding that he still is “red, white and blue, Pro-Troops, Pro-Military”. That’s why he wants to save our troops and do all he can to get them out of Iraq which is an entanglement without a good definition of victory.

  5. Eric, you are a funny guy. “I dare say WE would have never made it, if it were not for the outpouring of mainline GOP support.”

WE? You mean Ron Paul. You didn’t win anything.

The funniest part though, is WE are now doing what you did. WE will help Ron Paul win the Presidency. WE will help him defy the odds. And unlike you, WE will not try to take the credit away from Ron and his message.

YOU are the Laughlin/Morris who will be sitting at home wondering how the hell WE beat you.

Remember laughing at them? WE will be doing the same towards YOU.

    Hi Eric,

I am a lifelong republican. I currently hold a CIB and a PH. I have been a business owner. I currently work for the Federal government.

For me, and everyone else I know the War on Terror is not the number one issue.

Immigration is not the number one issue.

Socialist health care is not the number one issue.

The color or lack of Paris Hilton’s panties are not the number one issue.

The number one issue is …..

Our nations unstable, debt based, fraudlent monetary system.

That system has removed from the people their fiscal power to restrict the size and power of our absurdly huge Federal government.

As you well know, the good Dr. NO is the only candidate that even mentions this as an issue.

    Your own statements confirm this.

“Gold Standard, “The Markets going to Crash” Economic viewpoints - what he really cares about in life.”

So your rabid desire to marginalize your former employer stands as proof to me that you are in effect a journalistic prostitute. Eager to perform any act for the Huge money party pimps that rule the media and our government.

This week alone I have distributed close to 500 flyers in the good doctors name. I printed those flyers myself, at no cost to Dr. Paul’s campaign.

Of the 400+ families that I have spoken to THIS WEEK, 75% were interested and vowed to gather further information about Dr. Pauls campaign, and our nations fraudlent monetary system.

The public’s interest in Dr. Paul spans all “demographic” lines. Republican, Democrat, Old, Young, Rich, Poor.

There are 72 people in our meetup group. More than 80% of our membership are doing the exact same thing I am, and are seeing the exact same results that I am.

Reconcile that little tidbit with the “scientific polls”.

    People ……

DO NOT LET SOME AGENCY SPOON FEED YOU AN OPINION,

    READ,

    EDUCATE YOURSELVES,

    THINK FOR YOURSELVES,

    VOTE,

Thank you for your time. Sincerely

Hmmn? That explains why in the Zogby poll Ron was at 3% after he announced in March, and in June he was at 0%.

Still hovering at 1 to 2% in all other national polls.

Here’s a little lesson for you in political campaigning. Usually candidates like to go up in polls, not stay where they are at, or even drop, in them.

6 months now. Actually 8, if you count January, when Ron was an unannounced Exploratory Comm. candidate.

6 to 8 months now and Ron Paul is at 1 to 2% in the national polls.

That’s not what I would call a “Surge”.

  8. Lost_in_Samoa says:

    Very Good Eric,

Regurgitate the same old info again and again. Hammer the published “truth” in. Ridicule, marginalize, discount anyone who disputes that.

I also noticed how you conviently side-stepped discussing the main point in my response. Our national monetary system and its affects on our constitutional republic.

    Well done.

You’ve grown into fairly accomplished member of the “Ministry of Truth”. Congratulations.

I and the other members of our little meetup group choose to disgregard the prepackaged, sound-byte enhanced “facts.”

The staged conflict between the Republican and Democratic parties no longer captivate me. Nor any of my friends.

We are more interested in the actions of the “Juggernaut” party. The huge money party.

Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate to address this issue at its root cause.

I have to go to Walmart and distribute flyers. Later this afternoon I will be calling Iowa residents and discussing Dr. Paul and monetary economics.

Tonight I might be able to visit this oasis of mis-information again. Perhaps we can continue our debate.

Thank you for your time. I do appreciate it. Sincerely

  9. Nick says:

Eric, I know you hate the Islamo-fascists. Who doesn’t, but why do you support the fascism of George W. Bush, Tom DeLay, Dick Cheney, Newt Gingrich, Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson, et al? Is it because it is your flavor of fascism, if you’re going to be kept in line it better be by someone that is closer to your views? Iraq was not an Islamo-fascist hotbed of suicide bombing talent until we invaded. No one is calling Saddam a good guy but why was he our problem, and how has removing him helped us? If anything, we are worse off now than before and Ron Paul saw it coming. He not only knew the war was unconstitutional but the reasons for going were false or at least not solid. The fact that Bush “is not reallu concerned with Osama bin Laden” should say something about any candidate, Giuliani included, that follows the course set in motion by Bush and Cheney. Ron Paul is right about why they hate us, not justifying murder, but understanding why they hate us enough to commit murder. We need to act responsibly in our foreign policy. If you can’t see that, then just like Giuliani and all the other “stay the course” candidates, you do not deserve to serve your country in public office. Sorry, but the truth hurts.

By the way, you should change the name of your website, because your views are not mainstream nor are they at all libertarian.

*What do you think of Bob Novak’s comments on Ron Paul?*

I think it is possible that Bob Novak’s comments are more reflective of today’s politics than everybody is willing to admit. The people of America have seen corruption for too long and are no longer willing to endorse a “lesser of two evils” candidate. There is a huge shift going on now where people are no longer going exclusively to the mainstream media for their news, no longer trusting of the kind of double speak we hear from the big candidates.

Ron Paul is refreshing to so many people because he does not talk in sound bytes. (Unfortunately this can also be used to his detriment.) Watching the debates you can see that all of the other candidates answers seem well rehearsed and prepared. When the questions get heated, they simply divert attention away from the real issue and discuss something else.

*Who do you think will win the 2008 US Presidential Elections?*

It’s still too early to say IMO, there is a long way to go before the primaries. Let’s see how much the political dialogue shifts between now and then.

*Do you want Ron Paul to win?*

I want a candidate who is most willing to represent the interests of the American people and the Constitution. So far as I can tell Ron Paul is the most qualified candidate for the job. However if Ron Paul’s presence compelled more like minded people to run, I would have to consider their positions also.
