R/C car hoping to smash 200mph speed record

Many of us can only dream of owning a car that car reach speeds of over 200mph, so you will be shocked to know that an R/C is going for the 200mph speed record. There are not many road cars out there that can achieve over 200mph, so can you imagine how difficult it would be for a radio controlled car to reach those speeds.

R/C car enthusiast, Nick Maslowski, with his home-made X2 racer which has a 29.6-volt electric motor and foam based tires, will be going for the record. The current R/C car land speed record is 134.4mph, and is held by enthusiast Nic Case.

As you can imagine controlling an R/C car at these kinds of speeds will be very difficult, which is why Nic has installed a gyroscope, this will adjusts a set of rudders that is hoped to keep the car on a straight line.
