Preview of the next-generation VW Beetle: Coming in 2009

Check out these wicked rendered images of the upcoming VW Beetle, the Cabrio version will be with us in 2009, the standard VW Beetle following in 2010. The next-generation Beetle is too based on the same platform as the VW Golf VI, which is a proven as a great mid-sized car.

This new Beetle has a sportier look, and if you look closely you will see hints of Porsche appearing on the front fascia. The engines that will be used in the next-generation Beetle will also come from the Golf VI.
