Jason Reitman has had a pretty good career. His amazing short film “In God We Trust” blew people’s socks off and his last indie flick “Thank You For Smoking” was critically acclaimed. It’s no wonder that he makes great films. He is the son of Ghostbusters and Animal House director Ivan Reitman.
There has been little information about Reitman’s next movie, Juno until now. But, the good people at Fox Searchlight have released the official plot synopsis.
Juno (played by Ellen Page) is a whip-smart teen confronting an unplanned pregnancy by her classmate Bleeker (Michael Cera). On the search to find her unborn baby a set of ‘Perfect Parent’ she enlists the help of her super hot best friend Leah (Olivia Thirlby). Perfect parents come in the form of Mark and Vanessa (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner) who are longing to adopt.
Lukily for Juno, she has the support of her parents (played by J.K Simmons and Allison Janney) when she faces some tough decisions, flirts with adulthood and eventually figures out where she belongs.
The film has a great cast and the plot doesn’t seem too bad. The film will also have a platform release (like Little Miss Sunshine) which starts on Friday December 14th 2007.
