Tyrese Gibson and Joan Allen to star in Death Race

Paul W.S Anderson, director of the upcoming 1975 remake “Death Race” has revealed that Tyrese Gibson and Joan Allen have been confirmed to join the cast of the cult classic.

British favourite bad boy Jason Statham will star in the movie as Frankenstein, a racer in a brutally violent futuristic car racing marathon where participants earn their points by taking out competitors and other racers,

Tyrese is to play Machine Gun Joe, a role made famous by Sylvester Stallone in the original. Tough shoes to fill! Joan Allen will serve as the main villain. Filming will start in Montreal next month.
