Robin Roberts of ABC’s Good Morning America announced today that she is battling breast cancer.
Robin found out she had breast cancer after she was preparing for a tribute show for her dear friend and colleague, Joel Siegel who also fought cancer. When Robin got home she went to bed and did a self breast exam and found a lump.
She said at first I thought “This can’t be. I am a young, healthy woman.” Nevertheless, I faced my fear head on and made an appointment to see the doctor. Much as I was hoping the doctor would say it was nothing, she did a biopsy and confirmed that the lump I’d found was indeed an early form of breast cancer.”
Robin is due to have surgery on Friday to remove the lump and will follow with treatment.
Let’s wish Robin all the best and hope that everything goes ok and that she makes a full recovery.

My Dearest Robin;
As I sit and watch good morning america it is indeed a good morning when I see your smiling, beautiful face. You are the sunshine in my life everyday . Unfortunately today there is a dark sky when I hear the news of your breast cancer. You know god works in mysterious ways and always seems to be putting people to the test. Use the test that he has given you to keep strong as you have always been. God knows that you are one of the strongest woman that he has been watching over. He knows that you are more than capable of handling any test that he might give you but just remember that he is there walking with you every step of the way, holding your hand and assuring you that things will be alright. God has a plan for you and if it is testing you to promote even more awareness of breast cancer then you are definitely the one that can pass the test. I believe that you will also become a statistic and will survive and go on to continue making all of the world a happier place as you do each and every day. I know that you make mine brighter. My only wish would be that someday I will find a way to come to new york and see the lady that has brought a smile to my face day after day.
My thoughts and prayers and lots and lots of love have enveloped this brief message to you. I just want you to know that you will be in my daily thoughts and prayers, and also that you have opened my eyes that it can happen to anyone. I recently had a mammogram and they said that everything was fine, the self breast exams are done on a regular basis. THANK YOU ROBIN for waking me up even more.
Lots of love and prayers to you and yours from me and mine.
We can do it together I know.
Respectfully yours

Hi Robin.
I love watching you on GMA. You are just one of those people where “what you see is what you get.” I am a two year survivor. Like you I am blessed to have the support of a loving family and a faith based community. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
God bless,

Dear Robin,
May the Lord be by your side during your surgery and recovery period. You are a beautiful person inside and out. I work for Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in Long Island and they do research for all types of cancer. With the backing of the State & Federal Goverments, and contributions from organizations and private funding, these
cancers should be obsolete one day.
God Bless you always,

Dear Robin - hi robin I have just been diagnosed with breast cancer after losing 56 lbs they new something was wrong. It was the last test the mammogram. I taped your last chemotherapy treatment as an inspiration as I walk this journey. I have also had a lumpectomy and will play this taping before each treatment as an inspiration to go on. I told my surgeon about the fireplace and she said she never quite heard it expressed like that. i weave in and out of so many feelings and it made me feel better to know you did also. they have replaced me at work so now 2 battles so I don’t lose my home. I will concentrate on my life battle first. I have now become the ad on tv. My prayers are with you and all our sisters who are experiencing this - you look beautiful. I will carry you beside me as I walk this journey - may God bless all of us. See your tomorrow. Say Hi to Chris, Diane and Sam.
