Johnny Depp has a Jam-Packed Rum Diary

Johnny Depp. Men want to be him and women want to be with him (trust me, we really do!) so it’s only natural for us to want to know what he’s doing next. Well, the Deppster is a very busy boy of late with filming finished on Sweeny Todd, he’s now looking to his next project.

Next on Johnny’s agenda is Shantaram, the story of an Australian drug dealer in India directed by Mira Nair. Most actors would take a break after such a jam packed schedule but not Johnny. Following Shantaram will be The Rum Diary, which is based on the novel by Hunter S. Thomson with Bruce Robinson (Withnail & I) adapting and directing. The story is about a reporter writing for a rundown newspaper in 1950’s Peurto Rico.

After that, Dark Shadows will have Johnny’s presence as well as the murdered-Russian spy story Sasha. Phew!

So now you know! Good news is that Johnny won’t be off our screens for a long, long time yet.
