Halo 3 campaign trailer for Xbox 360 at E3: Wrong move for Bungie
It seems as if Bungie could have shot themselves in the foot with a recent E3 campaign trailer for the Xbox 360 game Halo 3. Many of you would wonder why this would be a problem, but if you think that Microsoft did not give the media any hands on time with the game, it seems like an own goal from the game giant. Well this is the opinion of Epic Games, Mark Rein.

He did think that if Microsoft gave Halo 3 a bigger presence, maybe if they hooked up some machines and allowed the media to get a feel for the game, he added that the reason why they did not need to do this is because there is so much interest in the game already, that they did not need to do this.

For me though, just showing trailer for the Xbox game Halo 3 was a great move from Microsoft, as it gives gamers a small taste of what is to come, which only wets our appetites all the more.

UPDATE - Here is what Rein said:
“I’m sure if they’d actually had a big Halo 3 presence, if Microsoft had set up eight machines or 12 or 16 machines so you could sit and play it, it would have won all kinds of awards. But they don’t need to because, like me, everyone’s already placed their order… So I think that worked against them at E3.”

Does anyone understand this article? The headline says ‘wrong move’ and the opening sentence says ’shot in the foot’… but there’s no justification for the statement and no quote from Mark Rein… Seriously guys, you need to get some better writers.

I second that, where’s the story?

    Ah, cheers! Much better!
