Great White Shark News: Coastguards dismiss the sighting on the Cornish Coast

It has been dismissed by coastguards and experts of the claim of a great white shark seen off the Cornish Coast. This has been put down to scaremongering, a man called Richard Fletcher from South Yorkshire claimed that the footage he took was a shark breaching in the sea near some dolphins which were about 200 yards from Porthmeor Beach, St Ives.
This footage was then shown to Richard Pierce who is the chairman of the Shark Trust, he said that it was totally impossible to make a conclusive identification and it could have been either mako or a porbeagle shark.
So it is unlikely to have been a great white shark. “Have you ever encountered a great white shark?
