It is of great sadness that we are writing to inform you of the sudden death of Eastenders star

Mike Reid over the weekend at the age of 67.

Mike Reid died suddenly after a suspected heart attack over the weekend at his home.
As we all knew Mike Moved to Spain when he retired from the show

Mike was in the middle of working on a feature film and had not shown any signs of illness before the attack, according to his agent David Hahn.

David said that “Mike was in fine fettle form. Only a couple of weeks ago we were having dinner over here and Mike that particular day went to see his consultant, had a full medical and they gave him a clean bill of health,” he said.

Shocked Barbara Windsor, who played his wife Peggy, said: “He was a lovely man, a good performer, an actor and a friend.”

We all send his family our condolences and I am sure that no one will forget him in a hurry

This is such sad news, i loved that man he was a great actor in Eastenders but what i loved most of all about him was he was a fantastic comedian and in my heart will always be the greatest. I can remeber right back to the days when he was in a show called Runaaround which was great entertainment.

I would like to say all my thoughts are with his family and friends and would like to say to them he will NEVER be forgotten, he was an still is a great man.

  2. I was so saddened to hear about Mike Reid. Unfortunately, I never had the chance or opportunity to see him live, doing his standup. But it’s amazing how often you hear his voice on television and radio doing voice overs. And if his comedy was half as good as his acting, then he was a great comedian because I feel he was one of the best television actors Great Britain has ever produced. We shall miss Mike.
