Ian Johnson Suffers Racist Threats At Wedding

Ian Johnson is the running back for Boise State and Ian Johnson got the winning points in the Fiesta Bowl, before proposing to his girlfriend (who is a cheerleader) on national TV.
However, Ian Johnson has said that he has been forced to hire extra security for his wedding after suffering racist threats.
Ian Johnson (black) and Chrissy Popadics (white) are set to get married tomorrow but Ian Johnson said he has received a number of he has received phone calls, letters and some personal threats from people who object to their marriage plans.
Ian Johnson said:
“You take it for what it is - the less educated, the less willing to change,”
“But we’re not acting like we’re naive to all the stuff that’s going on. We know what’s been said. We’re going to make sure we’re safe at all times. It’s an amazing day for us, and we’d hate to have it ruined by someone.”
“It’s really sad because a lot of people that are probably doing it are the same people who were cheering me on,” Johnson said.
It’s a shame for anyone to suffer from racism, but why pick on an NFL hero like Ian Johnson?
