Responses to the Hotmail Virus: Working Now?

It seems like there was no actual ‘Hotmail Virus’ after all, with strong evidence pointing towards a simple explanation for all the hassle, which is that it was more than likely an internal error and that too many people were trying to get into their inbox at once, making a big problem for hotmail.
This being said, people are still unable to access their accounts/inboxes, although more and more are getting back to normal. Of course, the hotmail down situation has been very annoying for people for a myriad of reasons, with hotmail having a lot of explaining to do.
Reports show that some people may detect a virus through their antivirus software, but apparently there isn’t any risk involved whatsoever. Speculation leads us to believe that as unnerving as the virus messages may seem, your computer isn’t at any risk. It seems that for some people, it was just overloaded and not a virus, once again pointing to the ‘hotmail down’ situation, like Rory:
Rory
mine simply says “server temporarily unavailable”.
which is particuarly annoying because i have much work on my account and the deadline is tomorow…
if this really is a problem made by hotmail i would not be very angry
but if this is a hacker which i suspect!! i will be furious who are these people?
Thanks for your comment Rory. The chances of this incident being the work of a hacker seem very unlikely, but anything is possible and we will definitaley keep you updated on the situation.
In the meantime, keep commenting if it works, keep commenting if it doesn’t work and we’ll keeping researching and posting until the situation is sorted out, fully, for everyone.
