Remember when we told you about the Cybook back in June 21st 2007 by James, well we have an update for you. Bookeen have gone all official with their new Cybook e-book reader, yes this is all good the Bookeen Cybook e-book reader is official for release in September. The Cybook Gen3 device is in production and is being released September the company have said.

The device makes use of E Ink’s Vizplex e-paper technology to give you a 166 dpi resolution on the amazing 6 inch screen, the weight of this beautiful device is 6.1, the thickness is roughly the size of a magazine, the Bookeen Cybook Gen3 e-book reader has USB connectivity, and the best part it can last for around about 8,000 page flips before the battery needs recharging.

Bookeen have also announced that they struck a super deal with Mobipocket to license and distribute the Mobipocket e-book format of which will give Cybook users a massive access to about 50,000 titles. The Cybook Gen3 e-book will be available in a number of different packs. The basic of models will cost you around $350 and obviously being more expensive for the really good models.
