Marion Bartoli Knocked Out in Round 2 of Stanford Classic

Despite being a finalist at Wimbledon recently, Marion Bartoli was beaten in the second round of the Stanford Classic tennis tournament.

Marion Bartoli was lost to Lilia Osterloh but really she has been defeated in her first round, since she was given a bye for round one, and so this was her first time playing in the tennis tournament.

Marion Bartoli is ranked number 11 in the world and her opponent is number 106 but even so, Marion Bartoli lost 5-7 6-4 6-3.

She said afterwards:
“I’m not completely healthy and my body hasn’t recovered from the past two months and it’s showing signs of overtiredness”
“I had no energy and felt so sick and it cost me in the match. I’m not pushing hard enough and my serve isn’t working at all. But she took all her chances and she can play very well.”

Can Marion Bartoli get back on her feet and start winning some more tennis matches?
