Lewis Hamilton Still Keeping McLaren as Number One
By: Roy | July 26, 2007The leader of the F1 Championship, Lewis Hamilton, lead the way on the second day for Formula 1’s group test at Jerez yesterday.
Once again, the F1 teams experienced boiling temperatures but that did not put off Lewis Hamilton as he completed 90 laps in the McLaren-Mercedes MP4-22.
Lewis Hamilton was by far the quickest with his very best time standing at 79.670 seconds.
The Toyota driver Ralf Schumacher was second, completing 73 laps and he said:
“Today went quite well, we went through all the items we had planned, including plenty of set-up work. We also did lots of practice starts because that is the area that we most need to improve, That went well and I’m quite happy with our progress.
“In the afternoon I did some long runs for further set-up comparisons and we completed our programme without problems. We’re working hard to improve the package and we hope that can continue.”
Is Lewis Hamilton he best F1 driver around at the moment?
