Intel, AMD Watch Out: Hynix Are On Their Way
July 26, 2007 | Filed under Computer Hardware, Computers

Hynix, a South Korean company noone knows we’ve all obviously heard of have announced plans to become the world’s leading chip producer in a period of ten years.
Currently on target to actually reaching their goal, they claim that last year’s $7.7 billion will become $18 billion by 2010 and $25 billion by 2012. Their big-headed announcement comes as their company rakes in the profits from their success last year, which was acheived by their method of eagerly developing new technologies and trying out new methods.
From these new methods comes new products, such as PRAM (Phase-change Random Access Memory). Reliable analysts say PRAM will become the industry’s main memory source, even replacing flash storage over the next decade. All this seems a little to early to predict accurately in my opinion, but who knows what the future holds. What do we think of Hynix?
