The explosion that happened in downtown Dallas at the natural gas company was pretty scary; the explosion caused columns of fire into the air which soared to great heights. The explosions which happened Wednesday (yesterday) also launched a number of flying debris onto nearby roads and buildings.
The debris that hit some parts of Interstates 30 and 35 had to be shut down because of this which caused a traffic nightmare for everyone, fire crews and to sit patiently until the explosions ended before they could even attempt to attack the fire and extinguish it.
Three people were injured in the Dallas fire but luckily enough no one was killed thank good, no one has been reported missing either which is good news. The fire was caused by a connector that was faulty; the connector that was faulty is used to join acetylene tanks during the filling process. Eddie Burns who is the Chief of the Dallas Fire-Rescue said that they have the whole facility surrounded and are in a defensive mode where we are now containing the fire.
One witness called Trystan Bright said that the flames started to go everywhere, and that debris was flying all over the freeway with fire attached to it, she went on to say you know it was kind of scary.
