Could Mike Gravel or Ron Paul Become President of America?

By: Daniel Chubb | July 26, 2007 | 14 Comments

Mike Gravel

Mike Gravel and Ron Paul are the two outsiders running for the US Presidency.

Could either of these men win the 2008 Presidential Elections?

Well, they both have quite a lot in common; wearing dark suit, sneakers and neither of them has much money. Also they are both trying to become the next President of the United States of America.

These two men may be the oldest of the Presidential candidates, Gravel 77 and Paul 71, but they are currently the life of the 2008 Presidential campaign.

Ron Paul

During the month of June and early July, “Ron Paul” was in the top three most searched terms of the internet and Ron Paul has had his YouTube video view 2.3 million times. After the first debate, Gravel got more internet traffic that any other Democratic candidate apart from Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois.

Could one of these guys actually shock everyone and win the 2008 US Presidential Elections?

What do you mean Ron Paul has no money? he has 2.4 mil on hand. thats more than mccain (if you don’t count romney’s persanol contributed of 9 mil to himself) and romney. plus he gets free advertising from his supporters. PLUS he’s a conservative spender. he doesn’t spend his money like a drunken sailor. i know that romney and mccain spent more money than they recieved.

Ron Paul has money. Gravel doesn’t, he’s in the hole actually. To compare the two is ridiculous, Gravel is a dark horse candidate, Ron Paul is the front-runner.

And the move to continually attempt to marginalize Dr. Paul, marches on. Everyone, do yourselves a favor and check out this man. You won’t be sorry you did.

Let me re-title this article: Could Ron Paul or Hillary Clinton Become President of America?

Could either of these men become PResident?

I just pray they can. I want my country back.

  • Paul

Ron Paul has been the front runner since at least as far back as the first debate. The bought and paid for mainstream media, paid handsomely by the bought and paid for “top tier” candidates, just does not want you to think so. FOX network is so much in Rudy G’s pocket that it’s obscene. Our mainstream media have really become nothing but propaganda machines for hire. Ron Paul can not afford to play their game, and has none of the propaganda machines in his pocket, yet he is still kicking their backsides.

Think about this: If Ron Paul was really the “long shot” that the pundits want you to believe, why do the MSM fall all over themselves in “accidentally” leaving him out of their polls, removing pro Ron Paul comments from there blogs (ABC), downplaying or removing their polls when Ron Paul sweeps them. I mean really, if he was no big deal, why the big deal?

Go Mike, lets shake this up!

I sincerely hope that Ron Paul or Mike Gravel becomes President. They are both honest and not owned by the moneyed interests (corporations, lobbyists, etc.), and that alone is enough reason to seriously consider them.

  • J. Webster

If you vote Republican, you support corruption. We need to get rid of as many Republicans as possible. Ron Paul seems to be very interesting, I must admit. But, he wishes to take us back to the stone-age. Like most Conservatives. End S.S., medicare, IRS, wants to control womens lives. I guess I’m and Old-time Conservative, keep government out of my life, except when providing services. Its no-ones business what I do in my bedroom, or with my body, keep your beiefs to yourself, unless you have evidence, real evidence to support them, not just some/a book.

Gravel is a totally different animal, he wants to give you more control over your life, while getting the government out of your bedroom, and its hands off your body. As an American, it make sense to me. GO GRAVEL08!

I love it when the MSM tries to undermine Ron Paul’s popularity because it shows that they think he can win (even though in every article they state that he can’t). In this case they are trying to undermine Ron by comparing him with Gravel and calls them old, poor, and having no sense of fashion…Rubish.

To answer this bloggers question: Yes…Paul “OR” Gravel could win the election because Paul will win.

Webster. No “old-time conservative” would ever support SS, Medicare, or the IRS. That’s precisely what old-time conservatives don’t like, and that’s what Ron Paul is. Your support of them is hypocritical. You want government out of your life, except for when you like it. And you force your preferences on your fellow citizens against their will…

  • Nancy

Webster, it appears that you’ve got it down when it comes to getting government out of your bedroom, but you can’t seem to come to grips with keeping your hand out of MY pocket. Somewhat hypocritical, don’t you think? LOL.

Let me get this straight… You WANT to keep income taxes? Why? If you like them so much, I’ll let you pay mine too, ok?

Ron Paul isn’t going to take Social Security or Medicare away from people who need it. He does however, want to give young people the ability to opt out of Social Security, keep their own money and invest it the way they choose. Do you understand that our government has raided the Social Security fund and has spent the money in the account? It’s broke. Only Ron Paul is willing to make the necessary cuts elsewhere to keep this afloat for Americans who are planning for Social Security to be there when they retire.

Wake up and smell the coffee, dude.

Let me start by saying that limited government is not old. It’s the newest kind of government in history a republic. It was considered by the Romans as the highest form of government. It is also proven by history that democracies such as ours turn into dispotism. This is what happens after the government goes bankrupt. It’s kind of like the great depression. Now if you study these facts. The French Revolution, The American Revolution, The Rome Revolution etc.. The only way these countries remained to exist was to go to a limited government approach and adopt a Republic government. Republics only work when everyone is fully educated though and if you are opressed you need to break the shackles and seek higher education. Not what the government calls higher education. Read history study our stock market, study our monetary system. Study the gold standard, Study slavery, Study liberty, Study the constitution, Study Christianity, and Study Rosicrucians. Study the Roman Catholics. Get you facts in order then and only then when you be able to help yourself. I have learned alot in the past few months since I started supporting Ron Paul and everything the man says is backed up by history and past conflicts. These issues are nothing new.

    Jared,

I hope that you have seen America – Freedom to Fascism and the Fiat Empire. They explain so much of what is going on. I do not see one of the Dem candidates speak of these movies AND I cannot disprove any of the comments in them.
For those not supporting Ron Paul’s ideas – do you think that you can afford more taxes and less freedoms?
